Let’s start with the biggest news – Jay Lite 2.
One of the most loved Minimus models is back. But this time, it returns on a completely new sole. We redesigned it so that it is now truly 100% barefoot. Wide toe box, super flexible zero drop sole with no heel elevation and no cushioning, anatomical shape – everything a growing foot actually needs.
Jay Lite 2 is a lightweight leather mid-season boot without insulation, available in grey, pink and black. Same clean look, but now fully aligned with our barefoot philosophy.
Why was it so important for us to redesign this model?
Because children’s feet are still developing. And developing feet need freedom.
In many conventional shoes, the toe box is narrower, the sole is stiffer and the heel is elevated. That means toes are compressed, the foot works less, and natural gait mechanics change over time. Barefoot shoes do the opposite.
They allow toes to spread.
They let children feel the ground.
They keep the heel and forefoot on the same level.
They don’t replace muscle work with artificial support.
That’s why we choose this approach for our own children — from their very first steps… all the way up to... ok, they are already size EU43. Jay Lite 2 goes only up to EU32.
But Jay Lite 2 isn’t the only update this season.
Our much-loved everyday model Snipe arrives in a fresh new shade – Transformative Teal. Clean, versatile and easy to wear.
And Woodpecker, with its two-stripe retro vibe, now comes in a vibrant pink that many of you asked for last year. We listen. We adjust. We grow.
This season Minimus shoes are available in 14 countries outside Latvia. But borders don’t really matter — children’s feet develop the same everywhere. And everywhere they need the same thing: the freedom to move naturally.
That is still, and always will be, at the heart of Minimus.
